Vegas, baby

mile 975

I really don't care about Vegas, it's just not my cup of tea. But since I mentioned to Goose that I hadn't been there before, he assumed that I wanted to see it and we included it on our route (we would have been passing through anyway). I am all for cheap hotels, though, so it's fine that we're here at the ultra-cheesy Circus Circus. At least now I can say that I've been to Vegas. Yahoo.

If you get a chance while in Vegas go drive a Corvette and a Hummer for $10 at the GM track. Its right at the northern end of the monorail...

I just got back from my first trip to Vegas. HATED it. Got a bad feeling about it the moment I stepped off the plane and it just got worse. Amazing how the tourists there know they are throwing away money and still do it! They seem to treat gambling like an expensive arcade game. But I've seen a game of Ms. Pac-Man last a lot longer than a game of craps and you only lose a quarter instead of hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. I stayted at the Stratosphere. Walked past the Circus, Circus. It looked pretty slimey - right in keeping with the Vegas theme. The best time I had there was when I rented a car and left town. The drive through southern Utah is amazing - the Zion, Escalante, Glen Canyon. Which way are you all going?

Sorry guys, I wish I hadn't had the server setup wrong - I only just saw these. I definitely would have sought out the Corvette ride, that would have been sweet. And yes, Doug, to say that the Circus Circus is slimy would be to say that water is wet.
