Goose & Whit's Wild Ride

I'm about to wrap up my stay in lovely Alvin, Texas, which was a welcome relief to a week and a half on the bike. Goose and I caught a couple of San Antonio sites on our way in, including the Alamo and the recently redeveloped River Walk area, a restaurant-laden stroll around a man-made stream underneath the downtown streets. Later I met my brand-new cousin-in-law Amelia, shown below contemplating the mysteries of the universe. Alvin also marks the departure of Goose from the motorcycle part of the trip - he and his wife Juani will probably be meeting me in parts of TN, but my motorcycling will be done solo from here on out.
