A busy vacation

mile 230

My apologies to anyone who's checking this blog and not seeing anything happening - I've just been incredibly busy with trip planning and preparation, not to mention a crapload of last-minute "we have to have this yesterday" job stuff. I at least wanted to get the Corbin photos added before I left, but never had time to do so.

We have in fact embarked, this morning, and are currently in the Yosemite vicinity (I bet at least one travel brochure has included that phrase). Goose and I met up with his flying buddy Chuck in Auburn, where we had lunch and then headed south on the 49. I saw some really gorgeous California country along the way. It's always nice to see how much of America is still untouched, or at least revered and preserved. We're spending the night in Sonora, a somewhat touristy town, and will part ways with Chuck tomorrow when Goose and I head into Yosemite for some pleasure riding and sight-seeing, after which we'll hopefully end up somewhere near Death Valley, time permitting.
