About the StoryBlog

I'm not really into trendy things. I'm one of those people who generally avoids a trend even if I like it, which was the case with the blog frenzy. Writing is one of my favorite things in the world, but not only did I not want to be yet another random web yahoo with an opinion that nobody cares about, I also didn't want to be beholden to yet another time-intensive ongoing project (don't ask). Thus, I eschewed the blog concept for the first couple of years.

I won't go into too much detail about what inspired my epiphany, but suffice it to say I was hit with the story blog concept one night, which allowed me to create a blog that avoided both of the aforementioned pitfalls (no random opining or original upkeep necessary - just editing and posting), and the StoryBlog was born. The WSB's only purpose is to entertain you and let you entertain. Everybody's got at least one good story, so I built a little home for them all.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not operating under the assumption that I'm the only story-based blog out there - it seems like an obvious concept, and there are probably several such blogs that came before me. I don't care. I think it's a good project that's fun to work on with lots of life-enriching fringe benefits (I may be the "story guy" for the rest of my life, but that's okay).

So now that I've told you the story of the StoryBlog, it's time for you to tell me yours.
